We are very excited to announce that Osprey is now berthed at Jack London Square in Oakland, providing a convenient east-bay pick up location. We can now sail the Oakland Estuary enjoying the warmth and protection of the East Bay as well as easy access to the main part of San Francisco Bay. Big, roomy and stable Osprey is the latest addition to the fleet and a fine complement to Bay Wolf and Flying Tiger. This 50-foot ketch was built for cruising in comfort. Passengers can spread out on her ample deck to take in the sights, stay high and dry in the center cockpit or duck below and lounge in the large, cushioned salon and galley. Yet she's no slouch under sail. With her three sails aloft she cuts swiftly and confidently through the water no matter what winds and waves come her way.

Acquired in the fall of 2011, this newcomer was refitted in the winter of 2011-12 to ensure charter guests' comfort, safety and enjoyment. On deck Osprey has many comfortable places to sit or even recline, perhaps with a chilled glass of Chardonnay or frosty microbrew in hand. Below deck she boasts ample headroom as well as a large salon with seating for more than a dozen people and a galley with a microwave and refrigerator.

In the cockpit, the captain and crew have an electronic chartplotter and radar at hand for navigating San Francisco Bay in any condition. Guests who accept the invitation to steer Osprey will find her easy to maneuver, plenty responsive yet steady and reliable, thanks to her large keel, ample rudder and sturdy rig. Sailing upwind, perhaps heading toward the Golden Gate Bridge on a summer afternoon, she'll heel over a bit and give passengers a thrill. Downwind she'll flatten out and give passengers a breather -- a good time to take in the sights of San Francisco's cityfront or scenic Angel Island.
